Tobias studied Economics at FOM in Hamburg and Design at HAWK in Hildesheim.
He currently works as a Service Design Lead at CityLAB Berlin where he is responsible for Service Design and Design Research. His primary focus at CityLAB is the digital transformation of Berlin’s public sector. Tobias was also a research associate at the HAWK where he specialized on „Inclusive Design“ and Design Research.
Tobias is passionate about Design Science and Strategy, Inclusive Design, and the potential in which Design Methods can be utilized in more inclusive and collaborative ways. Inclusive Design was also the research topic of his master thesis: „Boundless Design – How can designers design better and more sustainably for people with visual impairments?“.
Currently Tobias is co-authoring a book that explores how inclusion can be integrated sustainably into design processes and teachings. He also published a future research article in: „Design and mobility: How will we be moved?“
Tobias is a member of The German Society for Design Theory and Research as well as the Design Research Society.
